Jan 19, 2018 Students throughout the week participated in nightly homework that encouraged different reading and writing skills. Each day there was a contest between all classes in the school. Our class won first place one night with 92% of our class returning their reading homework.
Nov 15, 2017 The first grade team raised over a $100 in our school wide fundraiser for United Way. As a result each of the first grade team members had to kiss a pig during an assembly. Our first grade team decided to embrace the challenge and dressed up to get the kids excited for this great cause.
Oct 31, 2017 Today we celebrated the students finishing their Word Detective Reading Unit and their Poetry Writing Unit. Students in all first grade classrooms came together to share their writing and their favorite books with their friends.
