School 4 days a week! No more A/B days! YAY!
Our new phase of learning will start on Tuesday, April 6.
Students will attend every class, 4 days a week (Tuesday-Friday). There is no more split between A days and B days. Hybrid students will still attend in person while zoomers will still attend remotely.
All expectations will remain the same— work hard, learn a lot and enjoy the company of our classmates.
This combination of hybrid and remote will be quite an adventure! We're all doing the best we can!
My lesson plans are posted weekly in Canvas (Announcements) — check them out!
My non-teaching hour is FIRST hour (8:24-9:08). Email is the best way to communicate with me.
While computers do not replace the joy of being in the classroom, I am committed to doing the best I can to ensure a great learning opportunity for everyone. I look forward to this exciting new adventure!
WOW! This is already my 16th year teaching at SHS (with 2 years of previous teaching experience).
•I am teaching American Lit. all day— two sections of English 334 and three sections of English 236.
•In addition, I am the newspaper adviser, where the class works on writing student-created newspaper/online articles. The students work very hard to maintain the integrity and presence of journalism, and we are always proud to do our part of keeping newspapers alive! While there won't be a printed newspaper (at least during first semester), we will do our best to work on our journalism skills and upload interesting articles!
•When I'm not teaching or grading, I am playing with my three rowdy dogs or reading. My Friday nights will be boring without football until the Spring, but I'm sure my to-read pile won't complain! I love traveling, laughing and encouraging people to make lemonade from lemons.
•I encourage all my students to always put forth their best efforts, engage in the learning process, and enjoy everything Springfield High School has to offer. While this might not be everyone's preference for learning, it still has tremendous value. Let's embrace this challenge together! GO SENATORS!
