Summer fun self portraits!-1st-5th grade/May 18th-22nd
Students will draw a self portrait of themselves with sunglasses on. In the sunglasses students will draw a reflection of what they are excited to be doing this summer.
Georgia O'Keefe Flowers- 3rd grade- 4/26-4/29
We will draw flowers in the style of Georgia O'Keefe. We will focus on up close details in our artwork.
1st/2nd grade Tissue flowers
We will make tissue flowers with a pencil, glue and paper.
Canvas Drawing and Painting-4th and 5th grade 4/27-4/30
Students will all receive a 8x10 canvas and will draw and paint something that is both challenging and interesting to them.

The teacher will show the students how to make a pinch pot then she will show examples of how to make this into a monster.

I will go over ideas of what students could be for Halloween. I will teach them how to draw a basic body and they can add a costume. They will later share with everyone what they hope to be.

5th Grade Workbook Color Lesson- 10/13-10/16
5th grade worksbooks, pencil, crayons, markers, or colored pancils.
We will be doing a lesson in our workbook on page 19. This is a very simple lesson going over primary, secondary, teritary, warm, cool, complementary, anagolous, and rainbow colors are.
Let's Draw Picasso Style Frankenstein! 3rd and 4th grade- 10/13-1016

The teachers will go step by step to draw a Frankenstein in the style of Picasso. They wil then be given examples of how to color it, and can choose how they want to color. If there is time, teacher will go into brief biography about Picasso.

We will draw a Frankenstein look alike that is called "Crankenstein." It is a simple drawing and he is meant to look cranky. Student can color it when finished.

Students will step by step draw an owl. They will follow along and then outline it in black. They can also add whatever features they want to after the body is drawn.

We will talk about the artist Wassily Kandinsky. We will create and abstract art piece similar to his artwork.

Students will follow step by step in drawing, outlining, and coloring a haunted house. They will be able to add their own creative ideas after the basic house is drawn.

We will talk about the color wheel. We will talk about primary colors and secondary colors. Lastly, we will address how complimentary colors are opposite sides on the color wheel, and how they are known to enhance eachother.

We will draw three fall leaves. Students will color them with warm colored materials. They will color the background with cool colors.

We will talk about how we drew a pumpkin and how now we are going to add a face! We will talk about how many times the face is made with shapes. Students will be shown examples of jack o lanterns, and draw step by strep with the teacher.

Pete the Cat book on youtube
Students will have the book, "Pete the Cat" read to them on youtube. We will discuss how this is a series and I will tell students that we are going to draw Pete the Cat. Students will follow along step by step in drawing with the teacher. They can color their picture after they draw it. They will be allowed to color it the rest of the week.
We will also be discussing taking a picture of our artwork and submitting it online.
Lets Draw a Scarecrow in a Field-3rd grade- 9/21-9/25

We will start off this lesson by talking about how we drew a scarecrow head last class. We will discuss how we will make another scarecrow but the entire body in a field. We will talk about background and foreground in a picture.

Students will be reminded about what a Self- Portrait is. We will talk about how last we we learned about Picasso Style Self Portraits. We also learned about the word- ABSTRACT. We will compare our abstract portraits of last week and start new self portraits that look more like actual portraits. This will be a two class project.
4th and 5th grade Picasso Style Self Portraits-9/14-9/18
Objective: We will learn about the artist Pablo Picasso. We will draw a self portrait in the style of Pablo Picasso.
Materials: paper, pencil, (markers, crayons, colored pencils- whichever students have)
Procedure: Students will learn about Pablo Picasso. They willl then be instructed on what a self portrait is. We will look at examples of Pablo Picasso style self portraits. Then we will draw them step by step. This lesson will take two classes.
2nd and 3rd Grade- Scarecrow- 9/14-9/18
Objective: The objective of this lesson is to practice drawing by drawing a scarecrow. We will use such elements of Art as shape and line.

Students will see a finished scarecrow that I drew. Then we will go through the drawing together. Again, students will be instructed to add things to the background.
1st Grade Art- 9/14-9/18
Lets Draw A Pumpkin!
Objective: Students will be using their drawing skills to draw a pumpkin, grass and sky. We will start this lesson by talking about the element of Art line.

I will start this lesson by asking students to get materials available. Next we will draw the pumpkin. As always, students are encouraged to get creative with their background. We will talk about the season and how it is pumpkin season and different things they can add to their background.
We will be practicing drawing a minion this week. This is a simple activity that we are going to practice drawing and taking a picture of to turn in!
Lesson for 9/7/20-9/11/20- Lets Draw a Firefly- 1st and 2nd grade
This will be one of first lessons for the school year. We will practice drawing a firefly which is the school mascot. I will go through step by step on how to dow this. Next we will practice taking a picture of it.
