The 100th Day of School!

Jan 29, 2020 We celebrated the 100th Day on Wednesday with several fun activities. The morning message allowed us to practice our fluency with a 100s day poem called 100 is a Lot. During math, the students practiced counting to 100 by 2s, 5s, and 10s and using number words to equal one hundred.

Informational Writing Celebration

Jan 28, 2020 Today we had our writing celebration for the end of our informational writing unit.  Students wrote kind words on our blue folders as we enjoyed quiet music and snacks during our "writing cafe."

Hour of Code in Room 105

Dec 6, 2019 On Friday, we participated in an "Hour of Code." Hour of Code is an opportunity for every student to try computer science for one hour. We wrote code for a Dance Party.  There are also coding games for Angry Bird, Frozen, Minecraft and Star Wars.

Our New Flexible Seating in Memory of our Loved Ones

Nov 18, 2019 Thanks to the generous donations to my Donors Choose grant we now have more flexible seating options.  Earlier this year I had a donation for our classroom from a student's grandmother in memory of his "Gramps.

Writing Celebration!

Oct 30, 2019 On Wednesday, we celebrated the end of our narrative writing unit with a “Writing Cafe.”  We had large paper tablecloths and our iPads were left on our tables with our published narrative books.
