Here are a few pictures of some classroom activities. Have your child do the following:
- Identify the children in each picture and talk about what the children in the picture are doing. The children in the pictures with the stuffed penguin are feeding him pictures of food. The penguin sneezes if the food doesn’t start with the letter P.
- Find one picture of your child and send it to a special person.
- Use one of your child’s stuffed animals. Play the same game as above. If your child’s animal is a bear, it sneezes for food not starting with the letter B. Say or draw a picture of a food on a small piece of paper. Write the alphabet on a paper strip. Ask your child what is the beginning sound and letter of the food named. Have your child have the bear sneeze if it doesn’t start with the letter B. Then have your child point to the letter. This would also be a good time to talk about how to turn away and cough or sneeze in our elbow.
