This week, we'll be talking about and trying out some tools to help you create banners and blurbs for your website. If you're not already utilizing your class website, this tutorial is a great way to dip your toes in and get started! Here's a teaser of what we'll be working with:
Google Drawings is a free, web-based diagramming software developed by Google. It allows users to collaborate and work together in real time to create flowcharts, organisational charts, website wireframes, mind maps, concept maps, and other types of diagrams. It's also really handy for creating banners and blurbs for your school website. We'll check it out in more detail and do a quick demo before allowing participants to give it a try.
Canva really offers a variety of content types. From pre-sized social media image and header templates to marketing materials, documents, presentations, invitations and ads, you’ll find almost everything you need. If you don’t, you can always create a custom project. Say a classroom website banner or blurb? We'll explore some of the tools and functionality of site, and then dig in and try it out.
