Getting to Know Mrs. Galloway...
I am very excited to be at Feitshans Elementary School this year working with the students in the third, fourth, and fifth grades within the ED Room (Room #9). This is my fifth year of teaching and working with students with Special Needs in Resource and in their classrooms and my first year here. For the past three years, I have worked with the students at Springfield Ball Charter School.
I received my degree from Illinois State University in Special Education emphasizing Learning Methods and Behavior Support. Through Illinois State University, I received training in differentiated instruction as well as various methods of supporting students in the classroom.
Through my previous teaching positions, I have worked with students with autism, ADHD, several learning difficulties and struggles. I believe in getting to know each student as an individual and working with them from the place that they are. However, that being said, it is my goal to stretch your child's abilities and belief in themselves to help them achieve more than they thought they ever could. We will be working hard this year academically as well as socially to be the best that we can and achieve the most that we can.
As a parent and a teacher, I understand the importance of having open communication with everyone that has an impact on a child's life. For that reason, please feel free to call me at the school at (217) 525-3030 or e-mail me at email@example.com.
Thank you very much for your time and effort in your child's life and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year full of achievement and progress here at Feitshans Elementary School.
