We love AVID!!!
8th grade AVID scholars from District 186 rocked the first "8th Grade AVID Mash-Up" at the YMCA on December 12! 
Hosted by awesome middle school AVID coordinators, it was a day filled with teamwork, college tips, and career insights.
The trivia competition heated things up as teams tackled mind-bending questions about college, trades, the military, and AVID. 
High school AVID stars took the stage, dishing out insider tips on conquering high school and beyond. They spilled the tea on essential AVID strategies and skills while Army National Guard members dropped wisdom on military pathways. 
Then came the epic team-building activities! Human tic-tac-toe, "I love my neighbor who…", and the spaghetti tower challenge brought out the competitive spirit. 
These activities bonded our 8th grade AVID enthusiasts from every corner of the District, making this mash-up an unforgettable blast!
