-This year in order to attend extracurricular and school/district events you will have to meet grade, attendance, behavior, and tardy criteria. Here is the criteria: you must have 8 or less tardies for the current quarter, you must have 5 or less absences for the current quarter, you CANNOT have ANY suspensions in the current quarter, and you must be passing 5 out of 7 of your classes at the time of the event. City Tournament falls in this quarter, so if you would like to attend that event or any of the district 186 athletic events, you must continue to meet this criteria throughout the quarter! You CAN do it!

- Now for a moment of silence

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual. Please take some time to discuss your response with your class: Yesterday we honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Here is one of Dr. King's quotes. When you read this quote, what is one thing that comes to mind? What do you think he means? “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”

Have a great day and a great weekend Lions!
