-School picture day is this week! Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and LHS staff will be on Thursday, September 3rd. Your student photo is used on your cumulative folder, your student ID, and your yearbook portrait. Students will be assigned times and brought down to the auditorium by class. Senior portraits are scheduled for Friday, September 4. Seniors will be provided with the opportunity to take two portraits: one in proper dress and one in a casual outfit of their choice. More information will be provided later this week.
-There will be an NHS meeting for both new and returning students on Friday September 4th during both lunch shifts in room 03-011, Ms. Grendze’s room. Students should grab their lunch and head upstairs. They should have a pink pass. Teachers. Please allow students with afternoon CACC to attend the meeting during A lunch.
-Are you interested in building community amongst the high schools and developing your leadership skills? Do you want to contribute to being a voice for students? Then the Superintendent’s Student Roundtable may be for you! The Roundtable is open to all high school students in District 186. Come to our first monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 2, from 3-4pm in the PD Room of the Administrative Center, 3063 Fiat Ave. to learn more!
-The fall National Honor Society-hosted blood drive will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd in the auditorium. If you are interested in donating blood to help save lives and you are at least 16 years old, then visit Mrs. Corcoran in the library to sign up for a time slot. 1st time blood donors receive their choice of a $20 gift card voucher to a place of their choosing and 2nd time blood donors receive a $40 gift card!!!
-Hey! Hey! You! You! Join Scholastic Bowl! That’s right, Lanphier’s Premiere Scholastic Bowl Team is starting up and meeting Tuesdays After School in Room 3-002! Starts Tuesday, September 8! It’s the perfect I-S-H-A sport for those who want to flex the gray matter between the ears! We are now putting together this year’s team, and Mr. Dulski NEEDS YOU! It’s fun! It’s grand! We get to visit other high schools! We get to learn and have fun as a team! If you have any questions, see Mr. Dulski in room 3-002; if not, see you Tuesday, Sept. 8, after school!

-Students - If you would like a schedule change, you need to email your Assistant Principal and let them know what you would like to change. DO NOT just go to their office to talk about your schedule. You must email and then you will be called down to the office to discuss the change.
-Any Girls and Boys interested in running Cross-Country,Please see Coach Daniel in the building. Practice will be Tuesday,Thursday and Friday this week from 3:30pm-5:15pm. We meet on the track.
-As a reminder, according to our district cell phone policy, no phones should be visible in the hallways, restrooms, or classrooms at any time. The only time a cell phone can be visible or in use is in the atrium/cafeteria area during breakfast and lunch. They must be OFF & AWAY at any other time.
