Good evening families, I want to start off by Congratulating all the students who made Dr. Austin Inspirational Dance Audition that they will perform to the song Stand Up by Cynthia Erivo on Thursday February 26 at 1:30pm for parents and community and February 27 at 1:30pm for the school assembly. Good evening families, I want to start off by Congratulating all the students who have been working so hard on memorizing their lines and preparing for our school performance on Thursday February 26 at 1:30pm for parents and community and February 27 at 1:30pm for the school assembly. These students have really modeled what is to be a good Matheny Withrow student. I'm really proud of these students: Parents we need permission for the following students to stay after school tomorrow till 6pm to work on lines and try on costumes. We will feed them. Good Evening Families Tomorrow and Wednesday February 25, we will have Concession Store at 2:45 pm till 3:20 pm to support our Black History Performance happening next Thursday February 26, at 1:30pm. We will have 2nd -5th students performing a Inspirational Dance and students reenacting great Historical Figures like Mae Jemison, Barack Obama,Rosa Parks and so many more. Combined 40 students have practiced and practiced in preparation for this big day. We want to showcase them to our school, community and most importantly their parents . Proceeds earned at concession will help with any expenses for this amazing day. Thank you .

Good Afternoon This Friday we we have Valentines Party : 1:30pm-2:15pm- 3rd -5th grade 2:20pm -3:10pm K-2nd grade Concessions - Pictures and School T- Shirts will be available for sale during this event for students to support our upcoming Black History School Event, presented by our Drama Club and Praise Dance Performers.🎈🎈 Flyer will be sent home tomorrow.

Good afternoon families Congratulations to all the cheerleaders and basketball players who made the M-W teams. Parents please stay in your warm cars until the coaches send the students out at 4:45pm. No parents or guardians should be in the building after hours unless you are helping out with our after school activities. This requires a background check. Our duty is the safety of all students. We will be looking for you at 4:45pm in the front of the building. Thank you

Food Giveaway for our Matheny families is starting now.

Good afternoon families 😊 We are still collecting coats for our whole school coat giveaway. K- 2nd classrooms. If I have their size Friday, they will come home with an extra new, like new or good condition winter coat. All students will receive a new hat and a pair of gloves. Please let us know if you do not want your student to participate, it's optional . Our FACE mission is to make sure that all students receive any resources that we are providing or giving away. ❤️❤️😊

It will be given out until gone. Please park in the car pick up lane as this will be distributed during dismissal so we do not want to block the bus lanes. Good morning Families I hope you had a great holiday break, as we welcome 2026 New Year. I wanted to update you that we are working on a whole school giveaway. We currently have enough coats for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders but are working with the community to get additional coats for our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students. It has been a long journey trying to reach out to different community groups trying to get 220 coats but we are halfway there. We are planning to do this giveaway this Friday January 16. If we don't get all the coats the Kindergarten through 2nd grade will be next Friday. If you have questions please reach out and let me know. Thank you .

4th grade basketball tryouts

Mighty Mustang Families, I hope you all had a safe, restful break. Remember that school will not be in session Monday January 5, 2026 for Teachers Institute. Classes will resume on Tuesday January 6, 2026. Students can arrive as early as 8:40 am and should enter through the cafeteria. We are very excited to receive our students and look forward to supporting you through this semester. Welcome back Mustangs!!!

Our school did a big Coat Giveaway at Parent Teacher Conferences. If you are in need of a coat One in A Million Inc. might still have coats left. They are located at 700 S.
