Good Afternoon Families Your Voice Matters!!!!! I invite you to join our Family and Community Engagement team at Matheny-Withrow. We will meet this upcoming Tuesday March 31 at 4pm in our Community Room. I need your help and voice in planning and preparing for two upcoming events. On April 17, we will be celebrating our volunteers and community members who have shared their time, and kindness with our Matheny students. On May 8, we will celebrate our mothers or guardians who are the moms of the household.s. Please let me know if you will be attending Tuesday at 4pm .

Good evening families, I want to start off by Congratulating all the students who have been working so hard on memorizing their lines and preparing for our school performance on Thursday February 26 at 1:30pm for parents and community and February 27 at 1:30pm for the school assembly. These students have really modeled what is to be a good Matheny Withrow student. I'm really proud of these students: Parents we need permission for the following students to stay after school tomorrow till 6pm to work on lines and try on costumes. We will feed them. Good Evening Families Tomorrow and Wednesday February 25, we will have Concession Store at 2:45 pm till 3:20 pm to support our Black History Performance happening next Thursday February 26, at 1:30pm. We will have 2nd -5th students performing a Inspirational Dance and students reenacting great Historical Figures like Mae Jemison, Barack Obama,Rosa Parks and so many more. Combined 40 students have practiced and practiced in preparation for this big day. We want to showcase them to our school, community and most importantly their parents . Proceeds earned at concession will help with any expenses for this amazing day. Thank you .

Good Afternoon This Friday we we have Valentines Party : 1:30pm-2:15pm- 3rd -5th grade 2:20pm -3:10pm K-2nd grade Concessions - Pictures and School T- Shirts will be available for sale during this event for students to support our upcoming Black History School Event, presented by our Drama Club and Praise Dance Performers.🎈🎈 Flyer will be sent home tomorrow.

Good afternoon families Congratulations to all the cheerleaders and basketball players who made the M-W teams. Parents please stay in your warm cars until the coaches send the students out at 4:45pm. No parents or guardians should be in the building after hours unless you are helping out with our after school activities. This requires a background check. Our duty is the safety of all students. We will be looking for you at 4:45pm in the front of the building. Thank you
