From the College Room… TODAY - A rep from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville will be in the College room at 9:40am. Also TONIGHT - the greatly anticipated HBCU College Fair at the Union Baptist Church from 4:00 - 7:30pm. Wednesday, October 15 - Alex from ISAC and Kim from LLCC will be in the Library during both lunch shifts. Reps from MIZZOU will be in the college room October 15 at 9:25. Parent Teacher Conferences are October 16 and 17. On Friday during PT conferences, Alex from ISAC and Jannazzo will be in the Library to assist with FAFSA and all things college and trade school. From 12:15-2pm - stop by for the presentation on managing college costs. If any senior is interested in a potential career in Integrated Media Design, please see Mrs. Metz for an opportunity for full tuition in this program at LLCC. Integrated Media Design includes courses in Computer Graphics, Drawing, Web Design, Digital Photography, Mobile App Systems and Design, as well as Film and Special Effects. You must see Mrs. Metz by October 24th to get your name submitted for this opportunity! |

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
The boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Delavan Invite this past Saturday. Emma Kynaston, Parker Shoemaker and Aubree Jones medaled in the girls open race and Kev Beenenga medaled in the boys open race. Great job to all the Spartans who competed Saturday. Our Conference meet is this coming Saturday so please come out to Lincoln Park to cheer on the Spartans. |
