ㅡ Sports | After the cancellation of the tournament @ Jacksonville last Saturday, the Southeast Wrestling team opened up their season on Tuesday 12/2. They went 1-1, defeating Taylorville High School & losing to Hillsboro High School. Today the Southeast Wrestling team will be competing at Chatham in 2 dual meets. Our opponents at the meet will be Chatham & UHigh. Come out to support the team. Remember to Check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar. ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
