SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning, Southeast students and staff. It's Tuesday, February 10th, 2026! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

General Inf0

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

Students- Each student in the building was issued a locker at the start of the year.  Combinations were also given.  Lockers are not to be shared, and locks are not to be preset.  If you need your combination or have locker issues, please report to the student office.  Lockers can be randomly searched at any time, and all contents in your locker are your responsibility!  If the administration finds that multiple people are sharing lockers, disciplinary action may be taken.  Please make sure you use your locker only and keep it locked at all times.

Mr. Van Houten says- please don't text and drive!!!   IT CAN WAIT!

Clubs/Opportunities

Key Club will meet in Mrs. Wilkinson’s room TODAY after school, 3:25-3:45. We will discuss upcoming volunteer activities at our regular meeting then have an optional volunteer activity 3:45-4:45 if you are able to stay.

Poetry club will be having a Lyrical poems workshop this Friday in room 118. We will be learning how to write lyrical poetry and also looking into poetry in music. While we look at artists lyrics you are more than welcome to look into any artist you want. As the meeting is before Valentine’s you can make poems centered around your loved ones to present at the meeting as well. See Mr. Gleeson if you have any questions.

Sports

Remember to check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar.

Awards/Celebrations

Coach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month!
