JUNIORS! Thursday, March 5 - College Fair at Illinois College - return your permission slips to the College Room Hey ladies! We have a bunch of BRAND NEW(with the tags) prom dresses that are free or $25 tops. We want anyone and everyone who needs a prom dress to reach out to Ms. Sellars in the guidance office if you are interested. We have a couple dates open to look through the dresses -Wednesday, March 4th, March 25th, and April 1st after school until 3:30pm, and we also have a Saturday date April 11th time to be announced at a later date. |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Best Buddies will be meeting on THURSDAY, March 5th, in the library at 3:25. If you are interested in meeting new people and making fun memories, Best Buddies is welcoming new members! Please join us on Thursday, March 5th. If you have any questions, please see Ms Marley. Key Club will have elections on Tuesday, March 10 at 3:25-3:45 in Mrs. Wilkinson’s room. If you are interested in being an officer for the 2026-2027 school year, stop by room 110 to pick up an application today. They are due back to her on Friday by 3:30. Please have a 1-2 minute speech prepared for Tuesday explaining why you’d be the best candidate for that position. A reminder to Junior NHS prospective members. We have an informational meeting, for students only, after school Thursday, Mar/5 in room 119. Attending this meeting shows your intent. Meeting will begin at 3:25 p.m. Please read the chapter Bylaws and come prepared with questions, so I can answer them if there is any confusion. Also, deadline for application submission: Friday, March 6, in room 119. There is an annual dues for this chapter that will be $30 due before induction.

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
