SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning, Southeast students and staff. It's Tuesday, May 19th, 2026! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

General Inf0

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

11th graders. THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE. If you want to get your meningitis vaccine at school THIS Thursday, bring nurse Stephanie your consent forms. Remember, you HAVE to have this vaccine in order to be in 12th grade this fall.

For Thursday-11th graders. If you turned in your consent form to Nurse Stephanie for the meningitis shot, you will be called down individually this afternoon. Please come to the nurse’s office to get your vaccine when you’re called. It will be toward the end of the day.

Attention credit recovery students: credit recovery after school will end on Thursday, May 21st! If your classes aren’t completed in credit recovery, you will have to sign up for summer school to get caught up!

Attention independent study /Edmentum students during the school day: The last day to complete online courses for credit will be the last day of school May 28th. If you do not complete these courses by the deadline, you will have to take those incomplete courses in person, in summer school this year. Note: summer school is not online this year and you will only be allowed to take 2 courses total, only allowing you to earn 1 credit in summer school. Remember if you want to be a sophomore you must earn 6 credits, a junior must earn 12 credits and seniors must earn 18, heading into the new school year.

Students!! I know that the weather is nice out, but please remember to stay in dress code. We still need to come to school with long enough shorts/skirts (mid thigh) and shirts that cover our chest and belly. You will be asked to change if you are not in dress code, and we have limited clothing options available in the student office.

End of the year computer check out

Please make sure you have both of these tags on your computer.

If you do not, please ask for a pass to see Mr. Will in the library.

It will make the end of the year check out quick and easy for you.

After finals when you turn in your computer, make sure your computer is charged so they can see that there are no damages to the screen. (If you do have any issues please ask for a pass and go to Mr. Will now to get it fixed).

You will turn in your computer AND charger.

You will not turn in your computer bag, but will need to hold on to it for next year. They will NOT be issuing new computer bags next year, so hold on to it!!

Seniors if you do not want your computer bag, clean out the junk, and you can donate it.

Clubs/Opportunities

If anyone is interested in being part of a play or musical next year, please come to room 105 after school on Wednesday, May 20th. The drama club will have a quick meeting after school on Wednesday in Ms. Jones' room.

Sports

FCA will meet Wednesday, May 20th at 2:30 in Room 126.

On Wednesday, May 20th, Southeast will be hosting a sports, club, and activities night for incoming freshman. The program begins at 5:30 PM and includes a pizza and pasta dinner for all attendees and any Southeast students who are there to represent their group. Incoming freshman can RSVP by calling the main office or using the link on the school website. Please help us spread the word and invite any incoming freshmen you know.

Remember to check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar.

Awards/Celebrations

Coach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month!

Thank you to all the groups that performed this year for the Battle of the Bands.

The winner of this year's Battle of the Bands is Bandon Taylor! Congratulations!
