SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning, Southeast students and staff. It's Thursday, August 27th, 2026! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

General Inf0

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

Hi, my name is Tyonna. I am someone who has benefitted from this EDU 201 class. For me, this class has been more than just earning college credit. It has helped me figure out that teaching is something I actually want to pursue and has given me experience that I wouldn’t have gotten from a regular high school class.

It has also helped me get a head start on college. Because of the opportunities I’ve gotten through this program, Horace Mann has partnered with Southeast to allow me to take two additional college Education classes.

To my juniors and seniors if this is something that you are interested in, please sign up on Mrs. Metz’s clipboard for an opportunity to earn college credit while gaining experience in a real classroom!

Students!! I know that the weather is nice out, but please remember to stay in dress code. We still need to come to school with long enough shorts/skirts (mid thigh) and shirts that cover our chest and belly. You will be asked to change if you are not in dress code, and we have limited clothing options available in the student office.

Also, reminder cell phones and ear buds are off and away during the school day.

BIG Reminder-If you are in zero hour band, you need to be in the band room by 7:25am every morning!!!

Clubs/Opportunities

Want to Get involved at Southeast?  Well, now is the time.  Student Council is looking of you.  What is student council?  Student council is a group of students elected by their peers to organize student events and activities.  We need all grade levels.  Forms are now available in the main office.  They are due back by Friday, August 28.   Any questions, see Mrs. Barcik in room 103

Attention all students, Teen Court needs jurors. Want to make a difference in a kid's life, or contribute to improving the Southeast community? If so, we need you! Plus being a teen court juror looks really good on applications! Stop by the student office to pick up an application today. Applications are due September 8th! If you were on Teen Court last year, you MUST reapply! Any questions please see Ms. Miller.

Awards/Celebrations

Coach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month!
