ㅡ General Inf0Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention. Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Students!! I know that the weather is nice out, but please remember to stay in dress code. We still need to come to school with long enough shorts/skirts (mid thigh) and shirts that cover our chest and belly. You will be asked to change if you are not in dress code, and we have limited clothing options available in the student office. Also, reminder cell phones and ear buds are off and away during the school day. |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Attention all students, Teen Court needs jurors. Want to make a difference in a kid's life, or contribute to improving the Southeast community? If so, we need you! Plus being a teen court juror looks really good on applications! Stop by the student office to pick up an application today. Applications are due TODAY! If you were on Teen Court last year, and want to be on it again you MUST reapply! Any questions please see Ms. Miller. Homecoming is right around the corner--Saturday, September 26. If you are bringing a date from another school, you MUST fill out a date request form. These are now available in the main office. Any questions, please see Mrs.Barcik in Room 103. Do you like volunteering or helping improve your community? You should check out Key Club! We are going to have our first informational meeting TODAY, at 3:25 in room 110 (Mrs. Wilkinson’s room). It should be about 30 minutes, so please make arrangements for a ride home if needed. Blue Crew Next Meeting will be September 15 after school. |
ㅡ Sports | Boys Basketball Strength and Conditioning will start TODAY. We meet out at the track after school. Blue crew voted and the theme for the home volleyball game tonight is “White Out”. Come out dressed in all white and support our girls volleyball team. Remember to check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar. |
ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
