Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. 

Students if you have lost anything (hoodies, binders, cups, shoes, etc) Please come check the student office before the items are donated or thrown away.

Students:  TODAY during lunch, come to the commons to purchase Nachos and Cheese for $3 a container.  You can add meat for an extra dollar. Come support our first pop up event for the dual credit business class.

Monday -  Yale University will be in the College Room at 8:45

Also Monday, the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign will be in the College Room at 10:35

Admission rep sign up sheets are outside the college room on clipboards. You may also email tjannazz@sps186.org to be added to the list.

On Tuesday 9/29 LLCC and ISAC will be in the Library from 9:30 - 12:30 to assist Seniors in setting up for FAFSA and applying to LLCC.

SENIORS, On Wednesday 9/30 - Lincoln Land is having an Open House for Southeast students from 10:00 - 12:00. Jannazzo will be sending out a registration link for the event. Remember to check your sps186 email for updates.

Clubs/Opportunities

Homecoming is this Saturday, September 26. The theme is Alice in Wonderland Tickets will be on sale in the commons. They will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door.  

The Chamber’s RISE Young Professional Program is hosting its annual Professional Clothing Drive on October 9th & 10th at the Salvation Army on Clear Lake. Community members are welcome to donate clothing on the 9th and shop the donations on the 10th. If you are in need of professional clothing, please attend!

Birth to Five is offering a Childcare Clinic for youth interested in learning the rules for babysitting on Monday, October 12, from 1-4 PM. Free to participate, but registration is required.

Awards/Celebrations

Coach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month!
