• Good morning, Springfield High!  Today is Thursday, August 28th

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.

  • One week down. 900 students have perfect attendance and overall SHS is at 92% attendance. Begin to watch the case outside the main office as three classes will get 5 ping pong balls for having over 91% attendance each day. The class with the most at the end of semester 1 will receive a grade wide reward. Freshmen, we need you here everyday to help out. If you have an unexcused absence already, be sure to have your parent/guardian call in and get it changed to excused if applicable. Unexcused can mean 0 in the gradebook.  900 of you still are still able to qualify for a discounted Homecoming ticket along with other chances at prizes and rewards. Everyday counts at SHS!

  • One week down and one week closer to Homecoming week. The dance will be held September 13 here in the commons and ticket info will be shared later. Spirit week is just around the corner so get ready to celebrate why SHS is the best.

  • Freshmen interested in running for Student Council or class officer positions will be voted on next Tuesday. Those interested must give a speech in front of your class Tuesday in the auditorium. Informational packets and speeches must be shared to Mr Kramer by Friday. See Canvas for more info. You should have received an invite to join a class of 2029 page, accept that invite and all materials are linked there. Any questions email or see Mr Kramer in 153a. Deadlines to run are Friday.

  • If you are interested in a career in nursing, athletic training, or physical therapy we will take a group to UIS on Tuesday September 9 to view the UIC nursing program and health sciences careers programs. You must be passing all of your classes to attend and must return a completed permission slip. Slips will be available starting Monday at lunch and must be returned this week.
