  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm. 

  • After School Tutoring is offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  in Room 214

  • Attention artists and graphic designers: The SHS PTO is looking for a new logo, and any SHS student can submit a drawing or graphic that represents parents, teachers and our school. Use your imagination and submit your design by October 27th. Think of this logo as one that could go on letterhead or on a tablecloth or poster. Submit your design to Mrs. Dorr or Dr. Leardi, and see either of them if you have questions. If your design is chosen, you will receive $75 in gift cards and a framed copy of your design.

  • Mr. Kramer will be taking a group on campus tours of both University of Missouri St. Louis and SIU-Edwardsville on November 4th. Students will miss the whole day and leave at 7 AM. More info can be found on canvas announcements. This trip is for juniors and seniors only. Permission slips are in the Guidance office and due back to Mr. Kramer by October 20th. 

  • Model UN will meet Today after school in Room 330 until 4:30 p.m. Make sure you bring a charged Chromebook.

  • Join GSA Today after school in Mrs. Eaton’s Room 366 for a game night. Bring your friends and your favorite board game or play one provided..

The girls volleyball team beat Mt Pulaski on the road 25-18 25-21 to improve to 19-5

The Senators were led by Franny VonDeBur in assists, Rachel Becker in kills, Lucy Ambrose in Aces , Angel Efe Nogo in blocks & Ainsley Lambert in Digs.

The volleyball team goes to Quincy for a tournament on Saturday 

  • The Springfield High School Junior Varsity Girls Tennis Team hosted Glenwood yesterday and played well.  At singles, Sasha Nosova, Saara Sharma, Taylor Ratts and Abigail Eldridge won.  While at doubles, the teams of Annah Sharp/Caroline Scherschel, Abigail Eldridge/Lilllian Bryjka, Priya Sumant/Saara Sharma, Janvi Patel/Coltene Ampong, Ava Loftus/Jeyda Agirbas, Loey Fretz/Sarah Oseland, Bianca Barnes/Eva Abraham, Cara Luu/Catherine Adoungbe, Claribel Suarez/Caroline Scherschel, Sasha Nosova/Annah Sharp, Jackie Reed/Lillian Bryjka and Juliana Eastvold/Jadyn Mangold-Huston claimed victories.  Congratulations on a strong performance!

  • We look forward to seeing our students and staff at our home football games! We look forward to seeing our students and staff at our home football games! But, we want to remind you of the code of conduct. The Code of Conduct and the guidelines of the student

handbook apply to all students while on District 186 property, adjacent property or engaged in

school-sponsored activities. Any misconduct before, during or after the game will be handled by

the administration at the student’s school and will result in consequences.

Please note that students who are suspended and/or expelled are not permitted to attend

school events, including games. If a suspended or expelled student purchases a ticket and is

admitted by mistake, they will be required to leave, and no refunds will be issued.

All spectators are expected to remain seated during games. Anyone found standing or roaming

for an extended period of time will be asked to sit in the stands, failure to comply will result in

being removed from the stadium.

Also failing to abide by the football stadium expectations may result in you being escorted from

the stadium. If you are escorted from the stadium you will not be allowed to return to future

games.

No unaccompanied minors will be allowed entry into games. All K-8th grade students should be

with an adult who is responsible for their actions and monitors their movement during the

games. They should be sitting watching the games and limit walking around unless using the

restroom or visiting the concession stand. Students can not attend without an adult - they will

not be allowed entry.

Football games will conclude around 9:15 p.m., announcements will be made for students to

call for their ride at the start of 4th quarter at every game. Please make sure your ride, if

needed, is at the stadium to pick you up at that time.

We want to cheer on our teams, have great District 186 spirit and have a good time. Thank you

for assisting the Administration and the Springfield Police Department in this manner.
