Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the Peace Room is open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.
After School Tutoring is offered Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Room 214
Hey Senators! Show gratitude this week by appreciating the people who are closest to you. Sometimes we take our family and friends for granted and fail to realize how much we need them in our lives. Take time this week to appreciate the moments you get with these important people and show them gratitude through kind words and actions. Happy Thanksgiving from Be A Senator!
Attention Student Drivers those who are parking on the street. Starting Monday 11/03 Per Springfield Police department, anyone who parks by a 2 hour parking sign on New Street and Capital will receive a parking citation. Please remember to follow the rules of the road, read and follow the road signs around Springfield High School or you will be subject to a citation and potentially being towed.
We have a new perfect attendance challenge! If you have perfect attendance from Monday October 20th, the first day of second quarter, to the Friday before Thanksgiving, all students with perfect attendance will be put into a drawing to win a Lunch with Leardi! The group will walk over to Magic Kitchen for lunch free for you! Show up each of the 24 days to be in the drawing!
Attention all athletes interested in Boys and Girls Track and Field. There will be sign up meeting for all athletes not involved in a winter sport that are interested in participating in the track and field team this spring. The meeting will be on Monday November 24th after school in Mr. Deatherages room, WW1. Please see Coach Cotner if you have any questions.
Attention poets, performers, or simply anyone who enjoys either, there will a short informational meeting for Poetry Out LoudTuesday Nov 25 directly after school in Mrs. Eaton’s room 366.
Reminder: Esports Winter Season tryouts are being held at Lanphier High School over the next two days November 24th and 25th.
Apex Legends tryouts will be held today after school at Lanphier High School Esports lab. Starting at 4:00pm going to 7:00pm
Splatoon 3 and Minecraft Bedwars will both be held on Tuesday November 25th at Lanphier Esports Lab starting at 4:00pm going to 7:00pm

Congrats to Scholastic on their win at Kick off in Lincoln saturday. Anvi Agarwal, Anshul Nagrecha, and Alex Williams all placed in the top 10 players. Great play by everyone.
The Lady Senator basketball team split a pair of games on Saturday. SHS beat Pekin 61 to 46 with Abigail Malit scoring 20 points, Aniyah Rhinehouse chipped in 13 and Malorie Harris added 11. SHS lost the second game to Galesburg 78 to 56 with Rhinehouse scoring 22 points. Next up for SHS is a game on Wednesday against Bartonville Limestone.
