๐Ÿ€โœจ Bank of Springfield CITY TOURNAMENT 2026 NIGHT 4 โœจ๐Ÿ€

This night was one was for the history books.

The night tipped off with a beautiful National Anthem performed by the Springfield High School Choir. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‘

Game 1: SHG Girls vs. Lanphier Girls

A strong matchup with talent on full display, but SHG pulled away late to secure the W.

Game 2: Southeast Boys vs. SHG Boys

The Spartans battled hard, but SHG came out on top. Halftime belonged to the Southeast Poms, who absolutely wowed the crowd with their salute to SSHS basketball โ€” major props, ladies! ๐Ÿ’™

We paused the action for a special recognition honoring Superintendent Gill and Executive Director of School Support Jason Wind for their incredible commitment to District 186 and the Springfield community as they near retirement at the end of the school year. Hats off to two leaders who have truly made a lasting impact. ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ“

The Springfield High Pep Band kept the energy high and the vibes immaculate, because whatโ€™s City without the soundtrack? ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Game 3 โ€“ Girls Championship:Springfield High School vs. Southeast High School

Both teams left it all on the floor, but the Senators showed their dominance and claimed the City Championship crown ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ€

Final Game โ€“ Boys Matchup of the Night: Springfield High vs. Lanphier

An absolute nail-biter. Back-and-forth. Crowd on its feet. The Scarlet Line shut it DOWN at halftime with a show-stopping performance packed with skill, polish, and wow-factor.

In the end, Lanphier held strong and took the W โ€” which means the boysโ€™ City title was split THREE ways between Lanphier, SHG, and Springfield! Talk about City pride.

The night wrapped with Springfield High earning the Gary Sullivan Spirit Award, proudly sponsored by Horace Mann.๐Ÿ†

๐Ÿ“ฃ Shoutout cheerleaders who showed up night after night, cheered so many games, and kept the crowd loud, proud, and engaged all tournament long.

๐Ÿ‘ Huge thanks as well to all of our sponsors who help make City Tournament the community tradition it is.

See you next year!!
