Be A Senator’s focus for February is Self-Care. Senators show respect to themselves by taking care of their physical health. Research shows that exercise can be equivalent to medication in treating depression and getting proper sleep reduces stress and improves your mood. Teens need 8 to 10 hours of sleep each night and 30-60 minutes of physical activity each day. This week, try to get the proper amount of sleep and exercise each day and see how great you feel!
Each Wednesday, during the month of February, Be A Senator will have a table set up in the commons for tips and freebies regarding mental health and self-care. You can also enter a drawing for prizes by visiting the table. Hope to see you there tomorrow.
There will be a Fellowship of Christian Athletes get together in the Commons at 6:30 on Thursday.
Look forward to seeing you there.
