Senators show respect to themselves and others by managing their stress in healthy ways. When you are stressed, deep breathing is key to slowing your heart rate and calming your body. If you feel overwhelmed this week, try the 4-7-8 technique. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and breathe out for 8 seconds. Do this until your body feels calmer. For more tips, don’t forget to visit our table at lunch Today outside of the commons.
