• Good morning, Springfield High! Today is Friday, April 17th

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.  

  • Tutoring is available for all students.  Normal tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays continues from 3:30-4:30 in room 160.  In addition, tutoring is also now available on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room 114..

  • To any student who is involved in the Assassins game, this is a reminder that you may not have any activity on school grounds or during school times or anything related to the game during the school day. Please know we are concerned for your safety and need you to make good decisions. Please see Leardi or Adeniji with questions.

  • SHS invites future Senators to our Spring Activities Night on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons. This is an informal event where students can learn about sports, clubs and activities available to them next year.  Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and enter off Lewis Street. 

  • If you are a senior and are pursuing a college major or career in

scholarship honors and funds that will be awarded at Senior

Recognition Night.  Applications are due Friday, April 24th.  See Dr.

  • Prom guest forms are available in the guidance office for juniors and seniors who are bringing an outside guest on May 2. Guests must have a current picture ID to be admitted, be at least 9th grade and under 21 years old. Guest forms must be filled out entirely and then turned in for approval before 3:30 pm on April 30th. This form is also required for guests attending after prom.

  • Atención Spanish Club, please join us to go bowling on the 23rd of April. If you are interested, please bring your $ 5 deposit to Señor Reichert to reserve your spot. You can also see Janvi Patel or Valentina Osgood for more information. Gracias, and we hope to see you there

  • Attention all students: Your books are due! The SHS Library is asking for all checked out library books to be returned as soon as possible. Seniors should expect to receive notices listing their current checkouts and outstanding books this week. See Mr. Havener in the library with questions.

  • We will be selling tickets for the musical during both lunch shifts starting today. Prices are $8 for students and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the Music Commons — 2nd floor of the new Commons. You MUST bring your printed ticket with you to the show.

Tickets are the same price at the door. Seating is General Admission. Tickets are Cash only.

  • Entrepreneur class will be selling SHS apparel during lunch shifts this week.

  • Celebrate spring and your senior with a purchase of SHS's 25-26 yearbook and a senior ad at yearbookforever.com. Deadline to place ads is 5/20. 

  • GSA will host its spring cookie decorating event Friday after school until 4:30. All are welcome

  • Want to rep the Class of 2026 by looking good in class merch while raising money for Prom? Choose your style with options for hoodies, crewnecks, t-shirts and pants. Be iconic in your merch for all the fun Senior activities and pictures with your friends! Also you can order the t-shirt in white to have it signed by all your friends and math teachers as a special keepsake. Pick up order forms from Faires, Goldstein, Moore or Negele-- they are due to Ms. Negele (room 312) by April 15th.

  • Attention Senior athletes who have committed, or plan to commit to play a sport at the collegiate level.  Wednesday May 20th will be Signing Day at SHS.  At 3:30 pm we will recognize our athletes who will continue to play in college.  If you are one of these senior athletes, please stop by the main office and pick up an informational form to complete and return.  The forms must be returned to the main office by 3:30 pm on Friday 5/8/26.  See Mr. Barnes with any questions.

  • Springfield Clinic is hosting an open house for high school students who are interested in learning about careers in the health care field. Students are invited to the Springfield Clinic 1st Building at 800 North 1st Street on Wednesday, April 29th from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. You can tour the building, visit with different departments, and engage in hand-on activities. See Leardi or Lauer for more info or to RSVP.!

  • The softball team competed hard last night but came up short on the road in Clinton. Alivia Rothermich and Milan Robinson teamed up in the outfield to make some great plays, while Erin Stoops stepped in big at short stop. Lanie D stepped up and had 2 hits in the game. Good job ladies. 

  • The soccer team defeated Quincy 6-0 last night. Kalyn Burton 3 goals, Kamryn Hoffman 2 goals and Ainsley Lambert 1 goal scored for the Senators. Addie Maddox 2, Kamryn Hoffman 2 and Bridget Lyons picked up assists. Lydia Auble earned the shut-out with Annabelle Bilyeu, Lucy Ambrose, Phoebe Barnes and Simone Dolan providing excellent defense..

  • The Springfield High School Boys Junior Varsity Tennis Team competed against Sacred Heart-Griffin High School yesterday.  In doubles, the teams of Ben Perry/Ubaadah Mehmood, Sebastian Kurtz/Tripp Robson, Xander Barrientos/Elijah Boyce and Kieran Green/Harun Hussein emerged with victories.
