  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the  Peace Room is  open and available to students for support in the Guidance Office-8:30-9am and 11:30-2pm.  

  • Tutoring is available for all students.  Normal tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays continues from 3:30-4:30 in room 160.  In addition, tutoring is also now available on Wednesdays from 2:30-3:30 in room 116.

  • Senators show perseverance by visualizing themselves succeeding. All success begins with a vision. Create a mental image of yourself achieving your goal and take a minute each day to visualize this image. Seeing the end result keeps you motivated when the journey gets tough.   • The Senior Recognition Ceremony is Tuesday, May 12th, at 7:00 p.m. in the gym. While not all students will be recognized on stage, all graduating seniors are invited. Wear your cap and gown! Please call the main office with any questions.

  • To any student who is involved in the Assassins game, this is a reminder that you may not have any activity on school grounds or during school times or anything related to the game during the school day. Please know we are concerned for your safety and need you to make good decisions. Please see Leardi or Adeniji with questions. 

  • Any SHS student looking for a summer job opportunity through the Youth Employment Program and Abundant Faith, see Leardi, Almdale or Dorr. Jobs are available June 8 - August 8 and students can earn $16 an hour on different job sites. Paid training is included, and bus tickets are available for those needing transportation.   • Guten Tag! The German Club will be having their last meeting of the year this Tuesday, May 12, right after school. We will be going on a hike at Lincoln Memorial Gardens while enjoying pretzels as is authentic to German culture. We hope to see you there! See Annah Sharp with any questions.

  • Volleyball workouts  on Thursday only this week  3:30-5:00

  • Pizza Pizza Pizza Thursday Thursday Thursday. Be A Senator Club is selling Papa John’s pizza for $2 a slice in the commons on both lunch shifts this Thursday. You can also use 5 Senator Dollars to purchase a slice. 

  • Attention all athletes interested in running cross country in the fall.  There will be short informational meeting on Monday May 18th at 3:17 in the competition gym.  Come sign up and get important information for the upcoming season.  If you have any questions see Coach Cotner. 

  • Plant Club will meet today from 3:20-4:00 in Ms. Reinders room, 516.  Join us if you can, everyone is welcome

  • Future Football Players! There will be a player/parent meeting on Thursday May 21st @ 6pm in the new commons for anyone interested in playing football next season. 

  • The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team played Glenwood yesterday.  In doubles, the team of Jai Khurana/Shrihan Aleti emerged victorious.

In other action, the doubles teams of Faaiz Qureshi/Ian Delcomyn, Eric Dong/Ben Perry, Ubaadah Mehmood/Ben Cliburn, Tripp Robson/Gavin Cosenza-Stanley, Adeyiwola Adenipebi/Ben Cliburn and Charlie Holzmacher/Anshul Nagrecha scored victories. 

  • The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team competed in the Pitchford Invitational this weekend, finishing 2-2. In doubles, Jai Khurana/Shrihan Aleti were undefeated while the teams of Quan Dickirson/Charlie Watson and Faiiz Qureshi/Charlie Watson also added victories.  At singles, Bennett Nelson captured two wins while Faaiz Qureshi and Ian Delcomyn each contributed a victory.
