SHS will administer a mock ACT/pre-ACT test for all students in grades 9, 10, and 11 on Friday, October 9th. Freshmen and Sophomores will complete a practice pre-ACT, and Juniors, a practice ACT. We then use this data to guide instruction before the actual tests in April. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors who return the parent-signed permission slip will be dismissed immediately after testing that day. All students are welcome to stay and eat lunch and/or stay at SHS that afternoon. Buses will run at the regular Friday 3:17 dismissal time for those who stay; there are no early buses. Seniors who return the parent-signed permission slip will not attend school on the 9th, as they will participate in a college, work, service/volunteer, field trip, homework, or job shadow day.
