We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Ryan Green from Project Impact is the recipient of this year's Hugs and Kisses Horace Mann Award! This recognition celebrates staff members who exemplify excellence, dedication, and heart in their work with our WMS community.

Mr. Green truly goes above and beyond in everything he does. As a vital member of our WMS family, he not only manages his caseload with exceptional care but also conducts weekly—and sometimes daily—home visits to ensure our students and families have the support they need. His ability to connect authentically with families and students sets him apart as someone who genuinely invests in the well-being of our entire community.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Green is an active and valued member of our Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and Tier I Rewards, contributing his insights and energy to school-wide improvement efforts. He's also our master popcorn maker and cookie manager—roles that may sound small but speak volumes about his commitment to creating joy and celebration for our students and staff alike.

Most importantly, Mr. Green ensures that everyone—students and adults—feels heard and has a safe place at WMS. His collaborative spirit, positive presence, and unwavering dedication to our school community make him truly deserving of this recognition.Kyle Heaton, Horace Mann, Ryan.
