Meet Nate Borders, a Golden Apple Scholar from Illinois State University and District 186 alumni , who is currently student teaching at Springfield Southeast High School. His parents were a big influence on him following a path in education, both are educators. He enjoys helping his students learn about history & enjoys connecting with students. He has signed a letter of intent to work next year at District 186 and plans to further grow his career as a teacher.
