Springfield Public Schools District 186 intends to apply for a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant through the Illinois Department of Education in Fall 2025 in partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Central Illinois, the Springfield Urban League, and the Springfield YMCA.
The purpose of the 21st CCLC grant is to offer before and after-school activities and summer programming opportunities at Enos Elementary School, Laketown Elementary School, Hazel Dell Elementary, Southern View Elementary School, McClernand Elementary, Grant Middle School, Franklin Middle School, Butler Elementary School, Feitshans Elementary School, Lee Elementary School, Graham Elementary School, Wilcox Elementary School, Jane Addams Elementary, Dubois Elementary School, Harvard Park Elementary School, Matheny-Withrow Elementary School, Black Hawk Elementary School, Ridgely Elementary School, Fairview Elementary School.
The program will support the following initiatives:
