The Illinois Manufacturers' Association , The Boeing Company and The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce hosted a showing of "Top Gun : Maverick" for our students.
Retired U.S. Navy Pilot and TOPGUN instructor Kevin "Proton" McLaughlin introduced the film and discussed the importance of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). He also spoke to his own career path and took questions from the crowd.
Opportunities like this allow students to have hands-on experiences and hear directly from experts in their field. It also helps to grow connections and ignite pathways for our students.
