
7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball Tryouts are on Monday and Tuesday after school from 2:30-5:00 PM each day. Students may take the 5:15 activity bus home after tryouts or may be picked up from FMS.

Tryouts for the 7th and 8th grade Girls Basketball Teams will be on Monday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 16 from 2:30-5:00 PM each day. Students may take the activity bus home at 5:15 PM. Girls should wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Students must have an updated physical and athletic card on file as well as pay the $60 athletic fee if they make the team. 6th Grade Girls Basketball Tryouts are on Thursday, August 21, from 5:30-7:30 PM. You must have your own transportation to and from FMS. All games will be played at FMS on Saturday mornings beginning on September 13.

The FMS baseball game vs. Blessed Sacrament is now ON- being played at 7:00 PM at Schlitt Park. Players should arrive by 6:15.

The FMS Baseball game scheduled for today vs. Blessed Sacrament has been canceled due to heat. There will be practice after school until 4. Students can take the 4:15 activity bus if needed.

FMS Cross Country Tryouts are on Tuesday 8/5 at Lincoln Park from 7:30-8:30 AM. Parent meeting will follow from 8:30-8:45. Additional tryout on Thursday 8/7 from 7:30-8:30 AM at Lincoln Park with parent meeting at 8:30-8:45. Contact Coach Bowlin (lbowlin@sps186.org) with questions.

Baseball Tryouts for the Franklin Middle School/Grant Middle School Co-Op team will begin on August 4 from 9 AM- 11 AM at Rotary Park (4501 W. Iles), Field 3.

Due to the weather tomorrow, FMS Track Try-Outs will be Thursday 3/6 and Friday 3/7 from 2:30-4:00 PM. There is no try-out on Wednesday (tomorrow). The first practice will be Monday, 3/10 from 2:30-4:00. Students should sign up for try-outs outside of the main office.

A reminder that Saturday's 6th Grade Girls Volleyball game will be held at Ball Charter (2530 East Ash), not WMS. FMS B team will play at 8 AM with the A team immediately following.

Tonight's 8th grade boys Regional Championship game at Quincy has been rescheduled due to ice. The Regional Championship game will be TOMORROW 2/6 at 5:30 PM at Quincy Jr. High.

8th Grade Night is tomorrow! Tomorrow's home game vs. Lincoln Magnet/Ball Charter will be played as scheduled at 3:30 PM. 8th Grade Recognition will be immediately following the 7th grade game. Go Falcons!

Due to High School Preview Night tomorrow, the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team will play the first game at 3:30 at FMS vs. Grant Middle School. The 7th Grade will play the second game. The 8th Grade Girls Volleyball team will play the first game at 4:00 PM at Cantrall Intermediate School vs. Athens Jr. High. The 7th Grade will play the second game. This is to allow all of our 8th grade students to attend High School Preview Night, which is at 6:00 PM.
