FMS Cross Country Tryouts are on Tuesday 8/5 at Lincoln Park from 7:30-8:30 AM. Parent meeting will follow from 8:30-8:45. Additional tryout on Thursday 8/7 from 7:30-8:30 AM at Lincoln Park with parent meeting at 8:30-8:45. Contact Coach Bowlin (lbowlin@sps186.org) with questions.

Baseball Tryouts for the Franklin Middle School/Grant Middle School Co-Op team will begin on August 4 from 9 AM- 11 AM at Rotary Park (4501 W. Iles), Field 3.

Additional Tryouts and Practices: August 5 through 8th at Rotary Park, Field 3, from 9 AM-11 AM each day.

Participants should be registered at either FMS or GMS. They must provide their own transportation to and from the practice sites. They should have an updated sports physical, and they should bring a baseball glove, water bottle, and any other equipment.

Due to the weather tomorrow, FMS Track Try-Outs will be Thursday 3/6 and Friday 3/7 from 2:30-4:00 PM. There is no try-out on Wednesday (tomorrow). The first practice will be Monday, 3/10 from 2:30-4:00. Students should sign up for try-outs outside of the main office.

A reminder that Saturday's 6th Grade Girls Volleyball game will be held at Ball Charter (2530 East Ash), not WMS. FMS B team will play at 8 AM with the A team immediately following.

Tonight's 8th grade boys Regional Championship game at Quincy has been rescheduled due to ice. The Regional Championship game will be TOMORROW 2/6 at 5:30 PM at Quincy Jr. High.

8th Grade Night is tomorrow! Tomorrow's home game vs. Lincoln Magnet/Ball Charter will be played as scheduled at 3:30 PM. 8th Grade Recognition will be immediately following the 7th grade game. Go Falcons!

Due to High School Preview Night tomorrow, the 8th Grade Boys Basketball team will play the first game at 3:30 at FMS vs. Grant Middle School. The 7th Grade will play the second game. The 8th Grade Girls Volleyball team will play the first game at 4:00 PM at Cantrall Intermediate School vs. Athens Jr. High. The 7th Grade will play the second game. This is to allow all of our 8th grade students to attend High School Preview Night, which is at 6:00 PM.

Reminder: tonight is our FALCON FRENZY Boys Basketball Game! Doors open at 4:00 and the 7th grade game begins at 4:30 with 8th grade immediately following. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. All spectators will enter through the main entrance and pass through metal detectors. Don't forget to wear GREEN!

6th Grade Volleyball Tryouts is today from 2:30-5:00. Girls can take the activity bus at 5:15 or be picked up at 5. 7th Grade Call Backs are today from 5-6. 8th Grade Call Backs are today from 6-7. Both lists are posted outside the main office.

6th Grade Boys Basketball: The FINAL game of the season is on Saturday at 8 AM (B Game) and 8:45 AM (A Game) against WMS. The location of the game is Southeast High School (2350 E. Ash).

7th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are TONIGHT from 2:30-5:15. Girls may take the 5:15 activity bus or be picked up. 7th Grade Call Backs will be Thursday from 5:00-6:00 PM . The list for call backs will be posted on Wednesday at the main office. 8th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are Wednesday from 1:30-4:15 PM with call backs from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday. 6th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are Thursday from 2:30-5:00 PM.
