
Reminder: tonight is our FALCON FRENZY Boys Basketball Game! Doors open at 4:00 and the 7th grade game begins at 4:30 with 8th grade immediately following. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. All spectators will enter through the main entrance and pass through metal detectors. Don't forget to wear GREEN!

Due to the weather conditions, all practices and activities after school at FMS are canceled today. This includes boys basketball and 6th grade girls volleyball.

6th Grade Volleyball Tryouts is today from 2:30-5:00. Girls can take the activity bus at 5:15 or be picked up at 5.
7th Grade Call Backs are today from 5-6. 8th Grade Call Backs are today from 6-7. Both lists are posted outside the main office.

6th Grade Boys Basketball: The FINAL game of the season is on Saturday at 8 AM (B Game) and 8:45 AM (A Game) against WMS. The location of the game is Southeast High School (2350 E. Ash).

7th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are TONIGHT from 2:30-5:15. Girls may take the 5:15 activity bus or be picked up. 7th Grade Call Backs will be Thursday from 5:00-6:00 PM . The list for call backs will be posted on Wednesday at the main office.
8th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are Wednesday from 1:30-4:15 PM with call backs from 6:00-7:00 PM on Thursday.
6th Grade Girls Volleyball Tryouts are Thursday from 2:30-5:00 PM.

Tonight's Home Boys Basketball Game against Jacksonville will now begin at 5:15 PM. Doors for spectators will open at 4:45 PM.

The FMS United Way Campaign continues this week! Dress up days start tomorrow- pay $1 to dress up as a Minion! Penny Wars will also start to see which teacher gets slimed, and chips and pickles will continue to be sold at lunch while supplies last. Thank you for your support!

As a reminder, Thursday, October 17th, will be a 60-minute early dismissal for all students to accommodate Parent-Teacher Conferences. Additionally, there will be no school on Friday, October 18th, as conferences will continue throughout the day.

Due to the extreme heat, the FMS "B" Baseball game at Rotary Park is canceled for today 8/27.

Due to the expected heat tomorrow 8/27, the baseball game against Pleasant Plains will start at 7 PM at Rotary Park.

Due to heat today and tomorrow, there will NOT be cross country practice on Monday and Tuesday after school. Coach will post home workouts for these days. The next practice after school will be on Thursday.

Due to the heat today, the baseball game at Rochester has been moved to 7 PM. There will not be a bus. Please have your player at the field by 6 PM for warm up , and bring plenty of water!

Tonight's FMS Baseball game in Virginia has been canceled and will be rescheduled to a later date.

The Keep Kids in School Coalition will be offering physicals and immunizations for District 186 students on Wednesday, August 7th at the Sangamon County Department of Public Health. Sign-in hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
No appointment needed.
The clinic will only serve District 186 students who are entering Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade and those who are new to Illinois who must provide a current physical exam and immunization record. All 12th grade students must provide proof of having received a dose of the meningococcal vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. The legal parent or guardian must accompany their child.
No sports physicals will be offered. Thank you!


Cross Country Summer Fun Runs are on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30-8:45 AM at Washington Park. Meet at the Park and Chill Pavilion. Beginning August 6, the summer practices will be held at Lincoln Park. Contact Coach Bowlin (lbowlin@sps186.org) with questions.
