Good morning, Schools are open today. Buses are running on their normal schedule. It is a wet, cold day, so please make sure your students have on their coats and winter gear while standing at the bus stop. The District will continue to monitor the weather for the rest of the week. Thanks Principal Burris

Good Afternoon, We will be focused on kindness in December at Hazel Dell, and part of our kindness to our community will include a non-perishable food drive. It will be a class competition, with the winning class receiving a pizza party! The food drive will run from Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 15th to give the church time to get the items before we break for Winter Break. Good luck to everyone, and thanks in advance for your generosity!

We were notified by First Student that due to a higher than normal shortage of bus drivers today, there will be buses ruing late to their scheduled bus stop. Please monitor your student's bus stops. Also, all changes to buses have been entered into the First View App. You can use this app to track your student's bus and be informed of any bus number changes. We appreciate your patience and cooperation this morning.

District #186 is doing its annual Campaign for United Way. United Way funds many essential services in our community and the best part about donating to them is 100% of your donation goes directly to the agencies it funds. Hazel Dell's goal this year is to raise $2250. If you would like to help us with this goal, please return cash or check to school in the United Way envelope that will come home today or be passed out at Conferences. Thank you for your support!

Daily Dose of Kindness
Good morning, Hazel Dell! Today is Monday, October 16, 2023. Setting goals when you’re learning and getting better at the things that matter to you is important. Goals help you focus. When you set goals, make sure they’re specific, challenging, and doable. Having a specific goal helps you measure your progress and know when you’ve reached it. When the goals you set are challenging, but you’re still able to do them, you can see that you’re growing and making progress. Also, make sure your goals are about things you’re interested in so you can stay motivated. If you keep working towards your goals, you’ll see improvements before you know it! Please click on the news to read the rest of the morning message!
