Reminder today 11/21 we have two great opportunities to get involved in the GMS community! First from 4PM-8PM is the boys basketball fundraiser at SkyZone. A portion of the proceeds go back to the boys basketball! Then from 5:45 to 7:00 is BINGO Night at GMS presented by the Family and Community Engagement Team. Please consider coming at 5:30 to the FACE meeting to learn more on how you can get involved before Bingo. 7th Grade Girls lose a close one 24-20 to Glenwood at the Quincy Regional Championship! Great season girls we are proud of you!
Attendance: Grant is cracking down on attendance and tardies! Doors open at 7:30am each morning for kids to eat breakfast and then they are released to head to their lockers at 7:53am. Students are expected to be in their seats ready to learn at 8:00am, as this is when instruction begins. Please make sure that your child is at school, on time , every day, so that they get the most out of their educational experience! We appreciate your help with this.
Update! Our 7th grade girls have advanced to the regional championship with a win over Quincy 26-14. We will now play Glenwood at 5:30 Tuesday in Quincy! We hope to see you there! Go Generals!
Good luck to our 7th grade girls who won the 1st round of the IESA regional in Quincy this morning over Jefferson 25-13! They now play host Quincy in the semifinals at 2:00! Go Generals!

Please read the following athletic updates. Boys Basketball for Wednesday 11/6 has been CANCELLED. Girls Basketball against JMS Thursday 11/7 will now be a 7th grade half game and full 8th grade game against our boys teams with referees. We will honor our 8th grade girls during this game as it will be their last home game at GMS. Entry for this game will be $2 for all and we will have a donation basket for the girls team. Please consider supporting our girls one last time at home!

Students are encouraged to dress up for the dance in costume (6-7:30); no weapons or masks are allowed to be worn.
